How to Remove a Microwave

Removing an over-the-range microwave is very simple. However, this is a two-person project.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1:

Find the power cord and unplug the microwave.

Step 2:

While someone holds the microwave in place, remove the mounting screws.

Step 3:

Remove the microwave with an extra set of hands. Tilt the microwave to ensure the cord does not become snagged.

Step 4:

Remove the mounting bracket.
