Very quiet
We are very happy with the ceiling fan purchased. It looks very nice in our new sunroom and is so quiet. You can not hear it all. This was bought on line and was received in a timely manner. I would buy another one when any of the fans need to be replaced.

nice fan
I purchased this fan for a guest bedroom and am very happy with the quality of the fan. I did, however, expect the fan to be white, but it is more of a winter white rather than a pure white.

If utilizing the pull chain, must the light be on in order to operate the fan?
No, the light and fan are two separate operations.
When flush-mounted, what is the distance between the ceiling and the bottom on the light?
The Hunter 20810 is 15.7" including the light kit.
Can a higher wattage bulb be used?
The Hunter 20810 ceiling fan can use a maximum of a 19w compact fluorescent bulb.
What are the blades made of?
The blades are made of a veneer wood.
What remotes can be used with this fan?
Hunter 20810 is compatible with any of the Hunter controls, which can be browsed here.
You state that the 27186 control is compatible with this fan but the control installation instructions state that it is for use with incandescent lights. Which is correct?
The Hunter 20810 can be used with the 27186 as it does not have a dimmer control. Any control including a dimmer will not work the a non-incandescent unit unless otherwise specified.
Does the 20810 ceiling fan have a built in pull chain?
Yes this does come with a pull-chain.
Is this dimmable?
The Hunter 20810 can be hardwired to a dimmer switch.
