Is the CFL bulb compatible with a wall control that uses a dimmer?
Compact flourescent bulbs will not work with a dimmer. You will need to use incandescent or halogen bulbs with a dimmer.
Can I use a dimmer with the light?
This fixture is not designed to work with a dimmer.
What does "two-position" mounting mean?
The Hunter 21591 has Two position mounting meaning it is extra stable and will be wobble free.
Can you reverse the fan direction via the remote control?
The Hunter 21591 remote should work to control the reverse function of the fan.
does this have a remote control that controls speed as well as lighting?
Yes it controls speed as well as lighting.
What size downrods does the fan come with and if I need a coupler, which one can I buy that would work with these Hunter downrods.
The Hunter 21591 come with a 3" downrod, but no coupler. You can order more downrods through us.
Will the fan operate without the remote control?
The Hunter 21591 should operate without the remote.
Can this fan be used outside on a covered porch?
The Hunter 21591 is not rated for outdoor use. If it was damp rated, it would be able to be used outside under a covered porch. Wet rated, would be outside no matter what, but unfortunately this one is neither.
How many inches is fan from ceiling to end of light?
If the fan is installed flush against the ceiling: 7.49" If the fan is installed standard: 15.3" If the fan is installed at an angle: 43.49"
I have a dimmer so can I use an incandescent or halogen bulb in this particular fan?
The Hunter 21591 can only accept GU24 bulbs, provided you have a halogen Gu24, then yes absolutley.
If the product arrives DOA, will I need to pay return shipping?
If by DOA, you mean Damaged on Arrival, then no. You would not be responsible to pay return shipping on the Hunter 21591, or any of our products, if it arrives damaged or defective. Please give us a call if it were to arrive in such condition and we will set up the return and send a new item to you.
What does it mean that the blades are "reversible?" We just want a white color, and wouldn't want to see the maple color at all. Can we order all white blades?
The Hunter 21591 has reversible blades with white on one side and bleached oak on the other. The reversible blades gives you the option to chose what you want.
Will this fan reverse with the 27182 wall controler?
The Hunter 21591 does not have a reverse option for the fan. You will be able reverse the blades from a switch on the fan itself.
If I don't want to install the lighting kit, how is the total height
