We put 2 old tyme originals in our family room when we built our house 15 years ago. . during our recent remodel the fans' blades were removed and the other part covered with plastic. . somehow the motor on one was left on and messed the fan up. .wonderful price on replacement and speedy shipping. . thanks, Lighting Direct!

how tight can I hang from ceiling?
The Hunter 23855 comes with multiple rods. Each one is 3 inches in length.
Can this be installed with only 4 blades? If so how does that impact air flow and efficiency? Thank you
The Hunter 23855 is not designed to be installed with 4 blades. It will throw off the weight balance and air flow efficiency like you said.
what light kits are compatible with this fan?
The Hunter 23855 can be used with any hunter light kit.
Can you tell me the CFM for this fan? Does it reverse for summer/winter application?
The Hunter 23855 has an air flow capacity of 6947 CFMs and is Energy Star certified.
Is there a compatible 5 foot downrod?
