Modern The ceiling fan is a nice modern compliment to my living room, however, the when the fan is running it's a bit loud. If you set it to medium or low it's not as bad. May 26, 2011
Be careful - Sails are off-white I didn't read the desc well enough. The pic on the web and on the box are both white, but the Sails are actually off-white. It is a very unique looking fan, but returned it for that purpose. Also, it seems like the globe was white -- very strange combo. Wish it came in white with a brushed nickel finish. On a side note -- I had ZERO problems with returning the item or getting credit. Very easy process -- all able to self serve online. May 2, 2011
Too hard to install While it looks cool this fan is extremely heavy and tricky to install so it requires 2 people. My husband and I (who have both successfully installed fans before) both felt that there were serious design flaws that made it unnecessarily difficult to get it onto the ceiling and attached properly. I won't even go into the fact that now that we have it up it doesn't work so we're going to have to take it all down and try to figure out what's wrong (we added a remote so that may be it). That will have to wait a few weeks until my husband calms down. February 25, 2011

Can I use a down rod with this unit?

A. Yes, you can. There are the: 26041 (12 inch), and 26042 (18 inch), 26043 (24 inch). All come in the matching new bronze finish.

Can I order carved blades for this fan?

A. The Hunter 25522 only uses Off-White Sailcloth Blades.
