Nice fan with no light kit
This is a great fan for a location that doesn't require a light kit. Clean, elegant lines and reliable quiet service. The "new bronze" color is a dark brownish gray with a matte finish and matches lots of things.

The Hunter 26419 is compatible with certain remotes. I recommend calling Hunter directly to make sure your existing remote and light will work.
Some asked a question about wall controlls that concerns me. My house was built in 1996. I too want to replace an existing ceiling fan the is controlled by the wall switch. How would I know if the switch would be compatible? I thought wiring was pretty standard now days.
That customer was probably referring to the special wall controls that some manufacturers make, not a on off flip switch.
This fan will replace an existing fan that's hooked up to a wall switch; is this fan compatible to our existing wall switch wiring?

The Hunter 26419 when it is low profile the height is 12.6 inches from ceiling to bottom. Hunters Low profile fans are actually dual mount. So you can install this as a low profile with the down rod included or you can install without it.

The Hunter 26419 has a Powerful WhisperWind® Motor that move 5012 CFM of air on high. The motor size is 172mm x 12mm.

The Hunter 26419 is too large for use in a 12'x 12' bedroom. Unfortunately, this style is not available in a 42" version, but Hunter offers many others that are.
Can a light kit from another company be attached to this fan?
The Hunter 26419 can only have hunter light kits attached to it.
Can a remote be purchased for this unit?
The Hunter 26419 is compatible with units Hunter 27185, Hunter 27226, or Hunter 27144. Only difference is the style and whether you are interested in a hand remote only or a hand remote and wall control combo.

The Hunter 26419 is a 52" fan which is a little big for those rooms. I recommend staying with a 48" fan for the 3 rooms.
States downrod size is 2.5. Does this mean 2 feet 5 inches?
The Hunter 26419 comes with a 2.5 inch downrod. For longer down rod options, please do a search on our site for 'Hunter Downrods'.
We want to hang this fan on an eight foot ceiling. Does low profile equate to "hugger" and, if so, will this fan be acceptable on an eight foot ceiling?
The Hunter 26419 can be flush mounted and the total height would be 16" which would be fine for an 8ft ceiling.

What does "hands free canopy" mean?
Hands free canopies allows a 3-Position Mounting Systems such as flush, standard, or angled at 34° without the purchase of any extra Hunter Fan Accessories. This allows you to mount your Hunter Ceiling Fan flush to ceiling for extra clearance and head room, standard, or angle mounting at 34°. If ceiling angle is steep and exceeds 34°, you should purchase a Hunter Fan vaulted ceiling mount accessory which will accommodate up to 45° angles.
what is the "hands free canopy" feature of this fan?
The feature hands free canopy is a great feature for the installer of your fan. The canopy has a hook inside of it that allows you to secure the fan, leaving you with both hands to be able to connect the wiring. When the wiring is done the hook lays inside of the canopy and is now ready to be attached to the ceiling.
