DO YOU INSTALL?
We are strictly an online retailer for many brands, including Insinkerator, and do not offer an installation services. We suggest contacting a local plumber or installer for specific services.
Do we have to buy the adapter or flange to it or does it come with it?
The InSinkErator Septic Assist will include a Flange.
Is the power cord included with the Septic Assist Insinkerator, or does that need to be purchased separately?
The InSinkErator Septic Assist does not include the power cord. CRD-00 is the power cord needed.
is the septic assist "batch feed" or continuous feed?
The InSinkErator Septic Assist is a continuous feed disposal.
Why does it work better with a septic?
The septic assist feature applies a micro-biotic chemical with each discharge from the unit into the system to maintain healthy levels of bacteria in your contained system.
Do you need the adapter with it to install the disposal or can you use any adapter.
The Septic Assist will be the full disposal unit and can install in any area that could accomodate a full-sized disposal without adapters.
Is there a dishwasher adapter that needs to go with this unit?
The InSinkErator Septic Assist has a dishwasher adapter connector kit sold separately. Item # DWC-00.
The enzymes that are added to aid the septic, do they come with the unit? When and how are they refilled/replaced?
The InSinkErator Septic Assist does come with the enzyme unit. The enzyme unit needs to be replaced every 6 months with regular use.
The spec sheet says that the diameter is 13". Do you know if this is the diameter of the unit at the bump for the Biocharge cartridge (Widest point)? If so, do you know the diameter at the narrowest point? Thanks in advance.
The InSinkErator Septic Assist's diameter at the widest point is approx. 13" And the diameter of the narrowest point is approx. 9 3/4" with the bio-charge pack.
Can it be used without the bio-charge units? Thanks!
The InSinkErator Septic Assist uses bio-charged injection technology, the unit is designed around this, it cannot be used without. Please let me know if you have further questions.
If I ordered an extra bio-chemical cartridge at this time what would be it's shelf life?
The Insinkerator Septic Assist does not have a shelf life and will not break down and deteriorate while in storage.
Will this work with a prep sink?
The InSinkErator Septic Assist will work on a prep sink. Most prep sinks actually have the same size opening as a kitchen sink which is 3.5".
