This durable brass and steel mortise door bolt 2 1/2" x 9/16" case 1/2" throw has a brass oval turn know and escutcheon It also has a steel bolt for extra strength which will keep any door closed tightly.

Exactly What I Needed I needed to replace a brass mortise bolt with one in a satin nickel finish in order to match new hardware throughout the house. I came to find out how rare this particular item is when I searched all over town for one. Not only did Handlesets have what I needed, the website even provided a schematic so I could be absolutely sure of what I was getting. It's perfect and works like a dream. October 11, 2010

Is this satin nickel or shiny silver? Will this work on a hollow core door that is 1 5/16" thick?

The picture is a satin chrome finish. It is not offered in a polished nickel or chrome finish. Yes, this will work for a door thickness of 1-5/16"

Is there a way to get a mortice bolt that has an 18" bolt

The Ives S48B unfortunately doesn't come in a model with an 18 inch mortise.
