Sleek and Stylish Because this light is thin, it does not show under my cabinets. And if it did show, it would be an attractive decoration because of the pretty dark bronze color. My only complaint is that it heats up the inside of my cabinet. The inside bottom of it gets quite warm. (I'm thinking I could put bread dough there to let rise?!) January 25, 2011

Excellent Product This is an excellent product. Quality made and all the features and flexibility you would want in an under cabinet light. Keep in mind that the light projects down and forward due to the design of the lens. The cabinet rail under your upper cabinet needs to hang down an inch and a half to avoid seeing the light straight on. October 6, 2010

Is this product UL Listed? It does not indicate so on the site.

The Kichler 10580 is not recommended for really damp locations.

Would I need trim on my cabinets to cover these dermount lights?

Thanks for your question. The Kichler 10580 will project down if you have flat cabinets underneath; most have a some what of a lip and these lights have a 1" projection.

Is the diffuser made of plastic or glass ?

The Kichler 10580 features a diffuser that has both plastic and glass elements. Plastic on the connecting sides and glass on the top for clear lighting.

How do you replace the lamps. Do you pull directly out? Is there a button to release?

With the Kichler 10580 you will pull the bulb directly out.

Can I substitute LED bulbs for the xenon bulbs?

The Kichler 10580 is only intended for use with xenon bulbs. However, Kichler does have a comparable product that is used with LED: Kichler 12056.
