I will be hanging this from a 10 foot ceiling over a kitchen island. Do I need to order extra stems?

The Kichler 10779 will have an overall height of 56", so this will hang down about four feet. This should be low enough, but to be safe you can order extra stems and send them back if you don't need them.

What is the minimum the light can hang from the ceiling. It appears the overall height can be 56" which is too low for my needs.

The Kichler 10779 comes with 2-6" stems and 2-12" stems. The minimum distance from the ceiling is 6".

What is the overall width of this light?

The Kichler 10779 is 15" wide.

This light has 2 compact fluorescent bulbs. There is another model #2978 that is (2) 150W incandescent bulbs. Is this the same fixture just different bulb types?

The Kichler 10779 is the two light energy efficient billiard fixture and uses cfl bulbs. The 2978 is basically the same model but not energy star rated and uses incandescent or flourescent bulbs.

This says it includes 2 2700K PLA13-W lamps. Will it take regular 60 watt bulbs?

The Kichker 10779 will not take medium (regular) base bulbs.
