nothing like the picture The light has completely different finish from what you see on the picture. The style is contemporary and clean. I ahd to return it due to rust on finish and not as expected finish. Still it is a beautiful light. September 3, 2010

Re: my previous question: it will be hung in a well protected porch

The Kichler 2713 is damp rated so it could be hung under a porch.

Does this fixture need to be hardwired or can it just be swagged and plugged into an electrical outlet?

The Kichler 2713 is made to be used with hard wiring. There are no kits that are available to convert this into a electrical outlet plug in.

Can this be used with a dimmer switch?

The Kichler 2713 can be used on a dimmer.
