Modern clean lines I wanted something contemporary for my kitchen, and something to go with the stainless appliances. this fixture was the perfect choice. I have a smaller one over my sink, and this larger one in the middle of the room. Just the right amount of light. Perfect style. Just what i was looking for. October 23, 2011

Gorgeous Pendant I absolutely love the look of this light. We're just remodeling our kitchen and this hangs over the cooktop. 'Looks great with our stainless and black appliances. Excellent Value These lamps are very well made & very attractive. They're supplied with metal sections of different lengths, so you can change the ceiling to bulb height as you wish. This is the second set (of two each) that I bought. They're replacing a much more expensive set of designer lamps, & the Kichler lamps work much better & are a fraction of the cost & look just about as good. If you want simplicity & convenience, nothing beats an old-fashioned 60 watt incandescent bulb, like these use. They're available at every supermarket & drug store, & are cheap. September 13, 2009

Good looking pendant light The pendant light arrived within just a few days in excellent condition. It is relatively easy to install and can handle up to a 150 watt light bulb. The size I ordered is perfect for task lighting over the kitchen sink. It matches very well with stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. However, the finish can scratch very easily. Hence I gave it four stars rather than five. July 25, 2009

The Kichler 2714 has a canopy of 5".

How high should the light be placed from the kitchen eating counter

Thank you for your question. The Kichler 2714 is adjustable to whatever height you prefer. You can purchase down-rods starting at 6 inches up to 24 inches.

If my Kitchen has 11 foot ceilings should I also be buying the extensions? And if so, what extension height should I buy?

The Kichler 2714 will only come down 3.8 feet. It will be best to order addtional extensions for an 11 foot ceiling.

can these lights be utilized for outdoor?

The Kichler 2714 is rated for a dry location and is not recomended for outdoor use.

Can this be placed on a slanted ceiling

The Kichler 2714 can be mounted on a sloped ceiling of 45 degrees max.

Does this come in 220 voltage?

The Kichler 2714 is not rated for usage with 220V applications.

Hi, (1) What is a "G-type" bulb? (2) Can O use a florescent bulb? (3) Can these lights be on a dimmer wall switch?!? THANKS~~~

The Kichler 2714 has an E26 medium base which is the standard bulb base, florescent bulbs may be used though Kichler recommends that a G type bulb be used. Florescent bulbs can not be put on a dimmer unfortunately.

Can the 6 inch stem be trimmed down?

The Kichler 2714 has threaded stems, so they cannot be trimmed shorter. It would also void any warranty the product has with the manufacturer.

Does this lamp have a ceramic base?

The Kichler 2714 does not have a ceramic base.

Can the Kichler 2714 be used outside under a patio cover?

Unfortunately, the Kichler 2714 is UL-listed for dry locations only. It should not be used anywhere that can be exposed to dampness.

Does it have a glass lens to cover the bulb?

The Kichler 2714 does not have a glass lens to cover the bulb.
