Can you please clarify what the overall height is of this light using the shortest downrod. Will this light work on an 8 foot ceiling?

The Kichler 300001 would have an overall height of 14.33 inches with the shortest down rod.

What is the height from ceiling to light using the 6" rod?

The Kichler 300001 is approximately 19.5" tall when installed with a 6" down rod.

Is it possible to mount his fan on a sloped ceiling? Is this fan low ceiling mount adaptable?

The Kichler 300001 will need a sloped ceiling adapter and does need to be used with one of the provided down rods. You can get a kit to use the fan without the down rod but you cannot use both kits together as they both replace the existing canopy. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
