This 3 light semi-flush ceiling light from the Lacy Collection offers a beautiful contrast, melding the charm of Olde World style with clean modern-day materials. It starts with our new Mission Bronze(TM) finish and bold, unadorned rounded-arm styling. It finishes with an avant-garde double shade made of decorative meshed screens and opal inner glass.

Looks good, easy installation
Installed two of these fixtures, the 3 light (13") and 4 light (20"), in mission bronze (which is brown). Installation was no problem - they are well constructed, all the parts easily fit together, and the instructions are clear. The quality was better than average, with a satin finish and solid feel. The bulbs are not visible through the inner glass shade, yet still give off a lot of light. I have it installed in a hallway, and it easily lights the full 15 feet on each side. The outer shade is a thin metal cloth adhered to a supporting plastic sheet; you can see a 1 cm wide band where they overlap. I was worried this shade would look cheap, but it looks great once installed. I will look for Kichler brand lights in the future.

Good looking Transitional fixture
We installed this fixture in the foyer of our late 60s colonial home as we want a more transitional, updated look. Since we have a lower ceiling height than newer homes the semi flush fixture works well. The finish compliments a variety of other finishes in nearby hardware, frames, etc. It is a good quality fixture and relatively easy to install. As noted by another reviewer, there is a seam in the mesh shade which bothers me a bit, but most likely cannot be avoided. I spent a good deal of time searching for similar fixtures and found few that compare. Overall, we are pleased with the purchase.

Good Value
This light was easy to install. It's elegant in an understated way. But most importantly the light it cast is very nice and well difused. I think the manufacturer recommends 3 60watt bulbs. I installed 3 40Watt bulbs and that is adequate for my puposes.

The Kichler 42386 does not come in chrome. It only comes in Mission Bronze and Antique Pewter.
