Experience with Lighting Direct
I ordered a Kichler bathroom fixture from Lighting Direct. It arrived in a very reasonable time. Unfortunately, the glass globe had a very small crack in one corner. Fearing that the crack might result in an eventual break, I contacted Lighting Direct. Without hesitation they arranged for a new globe to be sent directly from the manufacturer at no charge and it arrived within a day or two. I was very pleased with the customer service, especially in this day and age of interminable holds, automated "help" lines and that sort of thing. It was a pleasure to speak to a real person and get such a rapid and hassle free response. I now have Lighting Direct listed in my web browser Favorites and will be a return customer.

Can this fixture be mounted on the ceiling? Is the top of the shade open?
The Kichler 45220 can not be mounted on the ceiling. It can be mounted vertically though. The shade is closed on top just as much as the bottom.
I have this fixture in my bathroom and can't figure out how to get to and change the bulb without breaking the glass!
Kichler informed me there is a final on the back of the glass to unscrew that will release the glass.
What is the overall length of this fixture?
