I would like this light to replace the fluorescent light bar in our kitchen - does this fixture produce enough light to act as the main light source for my kitchen, or would i need to suppliment, or perhaps find a larger light fixture? It is a townhouse kitchen, so fairly small, with 9' ceilings.

The Kichler 7779 does use halogen lights so these are going to much brighter then your flourescent bulbs, but given that kitchens and bathrooms are usually where you would rather "over-light" then "under-light" so as a main light I would think maybe a 4 light fixture or possibly a couple fixtures that you can space out a little.
The mounting strap says it can be ajusted to suit the position of light fixture, we are unable to get it to do this. How can this be done?
