Can the down rod be shortened. If so how much.

You can install as a flushmount without the rod and the overall height would be 11.25"h

The Kichler Hatteras Bay does come with the down rod and blades.

What color are the fan blades on the Burnished Anitique Brass? What is the difference between this Burnished Antique Brass and Antique Brass? Are they the same color?

The Kichler Hatteras Bay burnished antique brass is going to be very similar to an antique brass and will match any Kichler antique brass.

What is the complete height of this fan: ceiling mount to bottom of light?

The Kichler Hatteras Bay has a height from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan of 22.5".

Does this fan come with any downrods and if so what size?

The Kichler Hatteras Bay comes with one 12" down rod but you can add more.

Can I buy medium oak blades for the other finishes?

The Kichler Hatteras Bay ceiling fan comes with medium oak/light oak blades in the brushed stainless steel finish only. To purchase the medium oak blades, they are part # F300018BAB.
