Improved water flow
We purchased this to replace a brand new Danze showerhead the contractor installed which delivered very poor water pressure. (The Danze was so bad I thought there was something wrong with the plumbing.) This is a big improvement while still a low flow showerhead. Shower feel is greatly improved.

Best Shower Head I've Ever Used
On a recent business trip I stayed at a Holiday Inn and was so impressed with the shower head that I had to have it. It rinsed my long hair super fast and had four settings and was a water saver, very impressive. I found it online at Faucet Direct in a few clicks, purchased it and had it in my shower two days later.
Kohler and Faucet Direct! Why can't it always be this easy!

I assume the various flow pattern is controlled by turning the rim of the shower head?? Can I install this on my existing shower valve which is not Kohler??
The Kohler K-10284 functions are indeed controlled by rotating the head. If you're just replacing the head, you can use this in a non-Kohler system.
is the k-10282 and the k-10282 plastic or metal ,tech.specs. show metal construction on both models
The Kohler K-10284 and the K-10282 are solid-cast brass. There will be small amounts of plastic in the face for the spouts, but the cast and pipe inserts are made of metal.
We have builder installed Kohler products in our MBR that we call "gold". How can I tell if I need a polished brass or French gold head?
The Kohler K-10284 comes in both French gold and polished brass, but they both look gold. The French gold is a more yellow gold. The Polished Brass has more of a beige hue. I hope this helps.
