Can the K-12177 be used with a Kohler K5965, 3 hole sink? Is a special screw and washer required?

Great Choice
This faucet is a great choice for a kitchen. It is a little "dressier" than a faucet used for the laundry room, for example. Love the warranty also.

The faucet was easy to install, (single threaded disk with two pressure screws), and works great.

Big problem
The mounting screw ring (PN 1115287) and washer (PN 1128531) have been modified by Kohler for unknown reason. The ring and washer will not fit through the holes in Kohler sinks so if you are planning an undermount you will have to call Kohler customer support to get the proper screw ring (PN 78539) and washer (PN ?). It is not an easy task. They don't believe you at first, you have to ask for technical support. I have made five calls, gotten one wrong washer, and it has been 3 weeks and I still don't have the proper size washer.

Good design, good value
I wanted a pull out spray with a traditional design. There was not many to pick from. We have used this faucet for two weeks with new granite countetops and are very pleased with faucet and spray. Faucet handle turns off with back of hand or wrist if your hands are dirty easily.

Constant Trouble
I would never recommend this faucet..Every year I have to get a replacement sprayer, it will not give a steady stream. If you want to leave it on spray then it is OK, but otherwise it splatters all over the place. The problem is in switching from spray to stream, it will not stay on stream. I'm tried of getting wet everytime I use it...

so far so good. just had it put in last week. We got a new countertop also, so this looks just perfect with it. One of the main reasons I went to Kohler is because a good friend of mine told me how you stand up to your products. To me, that is very important, especially if down the road I have a problem.

Disappointed
We have only had this faucet for 4 years. After a few months the spray/stream control locked into spray mode. Two days ago the entire faucet spray assembly broke off from the flexible hose!
There are only two people in our home - so the faucet has gotten very light use. We're going to contact Kohler tomorrow and see if they will replace this disappointing lemon of a faucet :(

The spray feature on the Kohler K-12177 can be used without holding the button down. The button just selects which spray feature you wish to use.
Is the pull-out sprayer metal or plastic?
The Kohler K-12177 pull-out sprayer is made of plastic.
Can this be installed without the 10" plate?
The Kohler K-12177 pullout kitchen faucet can be installed either with or without the 10" escutcheon plate.
With the kohler sink no. 6625 can this faucet be centered instead of mounted along the divider? will the reach be long enough to reach the smaller bowl?
The Kohler K-12177 has a spout reach of 9" from the center. The 6625 is a counter mount sink with no faucet holes. So, you can mount the faucet anywhere you wish. But, with only a 9" reach, we wouldn't recommend center mounting so you can have proper clearance to the smaller basin.

The Kohler K-12177 can be removed by tapping the handel up with a rubber mallet. The valve stem and the handle lften fuse together so be sure to have a replacement valve stem on hand.
do you sell faucet that can be use with control on left, single hole, abt 6" high?
Any faucet that has a swivel neck to it should be able to be installed with the handle on the left side opposed to the right side. You would set at time of installation.

The plastic push button for spray on top of faucet is cracked and worn. Can it be replaced?
The push button is not sold separately. You will have to purchase the full wand in replace the push button. The original part number for the wand is 1000996, however it has now been replaced by the model number 1152299.
