Great Product Received the faucet,pleased with the product. We wanted a tall faucet with pullout but the space between the countertop and window was only 19 inches. We wanted the style and thats exactly what we got on a smaller scale. Its fashionable, ours was installed w/o the mandible making it even sleeker looking. Installation was a breeze and took a small amount of time. We also got the stainless steel option. June 21, 2011

Disappointing Quality- Cheap Lightweight feel I purchased this kitchen faucet to replace a KWC faucet which disintegrated. I researched the faucets on faucetdirect.com (very clunky navigation) and visited a number of retail outlets. I had functional and dimensional requirements that limited my options. I selected this Kohler product due to past postive experience with other products, customer reviews and Kohler's warranty. I was so disappointed and surprised at the look and feel and how lightweight the product is. When you pull the handle out it feels so cheap and the lever to turn the water on/off is sloppy/ loose. With its black plastic braided hose you have to force it back into the fixture which is cumbersome. I don't think the chrome finish will survive much beyond a year. And cleaning the spray head is difficult. It looks OK for the application, fortunately it is not used much. May 14, 2011

This faucet looks terrific! We had this faucet installed without the escutcheon in a new solid surface countertop. It looks great and the single hole makes keeping the area around it clean very easy. The spray is a little splashy but the deeper sink helps contain the splash. My old counter mounted spray-gun was a little easier to use but the sleek look of this arrangement makes up for the slight awkwardness of using the sprayer while extended. April 20, 2011

Great look We were redoing our kitchen counters and sink and purchased this faucet. It looks great and gives plenty of room to wash large pans. It has a lot of water pressure so at times I splash onto my granite countertops. But all in all it is great. I am glad we purchased the brushed finish. Looks so much classier. The facuet came so fast after ordering. Great company to work with and great prices. We looked at several local stores and online and this was the best deal for what we wanted. April 20, 2011

Attractive and well made This faucet works very well. One caveat: the handle is quite high and the spray powerful causing splashing. To avoid, it's best to keep it on the aerated setting which reduces the splashing. Switch to the spray when you need to clean a deep item. April 19, 2011

Great Faucet Beautiful faucet, great water pressure, unique design. Nozzle turns 360 degrees (not necessary, but a interesting bonus feature if you ever need it). Vibrant stainless steel seems to be stain resistant. Another outstanding feature is that water can be turned off in any position - hot or cold, meaning the handle doesn't have to be placed directly in the center to turn off the water like on most other faucets. That adds convenience and eliminates those annoying drips like other brands have if the handle is not exactly in the center. The on/off handle is light and responds to the slightest touch making it pleasurable to use. Overall a great faucet for a fraction of the price of other ( comparable, overpriced ) brands. How far can the spout be pulled out of the base?

The K-13963 comes with a 33" pull out hose.

Is the Kohler Elate compliant to the 2010 California State Law for Lead-Free Compliant Products (Law AB1953)? Also, what is the hole size required for single hole installation?

The Kohler K-13963 is AB1953 compliant and it will fit with any standard faucet hole installation, usually about 1 3/4" to 2" in diameter.

Is the plate size standard to cover any sink size? Also, I currently have a 2 hole plate (1 for faucet, 1 for the pull out spray) and is it okay to replace that with this model with just 1 hole?

The Kohler K-13963 has a 10 1/2" plate that can cover a three hole application.

Is this faucet AB1953 compliant?

The Kohler K-13963 Elate Kitchen Faucet, as well as all other Kohler Faucets available on our websites are Low Lead content compliant for both California's AB1953 and Vermont's ACT193 requirements.
