How is it there such a difference in hose lengths between the 15160 L @ 14" and the 15160 @ 39"?
The Kohler K-15160-L and the K-15160 both have 33" hoses on them.

Faucet
This was a replacement for a Moen that came with the house, but wasn't installed properly. The plumber we used recommended only Moen or Koehler brands. This faucet is fine, nothing exciting. The water pressure is less than what we had previously, not sure if that is the fault of the faucet or not.

Kohler Faucet
Can't say enough about how great Faucet Direct service has been.
I ordered this faucet to replace one made by American Standard. The American Standard was a pain from the very first day. I even had the American Standard professionally installed and never was satisfied with its function. The Kohler faucet was easily installed by my husband and me and it's wonderful. It looks great, works great, I have nothing bad to say about my new Kohler faucet.

A lot to like
I have had the stainless steel version of this faucet installed for two weeks now. The only negative I have is that it doesn't swivel a complete 180-degrees, but since the handle comes out as a sprayer, that's a minor complaint. I like the fact that the "sprayer" vs. "stream" settings stay put until I change them. (In my old faucet, the spray function popped back into stream automatically when the water stopped.) The settings are easy to change. The pullout feature works smoothly, and the handle swivels easily. I prefer models like these with a single lever on top because they can be easily manipulated with the back of your hand if you've just touched raw meat or something. The stainless steel matches very well with other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. Now I hope it proves reliable, too.

Shoulda bought this one first
I bought a similar kitchen faucet from a different manufacturer and hated it. This one was a piece of cake to install and hook up (took less than 1 hour), it works great, does everything I expected. It doesn't brush my teeth for me or send out my invoices, but then I never expected it to do that. Just works great as a faucet, thank you.

Terrific!
This is the best faucet I have ever had. Great quaility and excellent features. The spout is high enough and long enough for my large sink and I especially like the lock in feature of the spray head. I haven't sprayed me or the kitchen yet!
The hand held section is long enough to grab so that you do not also push the spray adjustment buttons.

Life-time Warranty. Kohler firm!
Added this faucet with the new kitchen 12 months ago. have been happy with it since. Works like a charm. Smooth and durable. Order the spray hose...you won't regret it! A small part (vacum/ backwash preventer) needed replacing. One call to Kohler and the part was sent out free of charge!

The Kohler K-15160-L does not have any advantage with a loop handle, it is useful for single finger operation; this faucet is made out of metal.
Is the removable spray head made of plastic or metal?
The Kohler K-15160-L spray head is made of plastic. This is due to the weight. If metal is dropped it can do damage.
