Classic Looking Faucet A contractor did the installation and it's only been in use for a few days so I can't give an opinion on how it was to install or if it's going to last. I can say that it is solid construction and looks beautiful in my new kitchen. August 9, 2011

Does the require the regular four hole sink or the oversized holes?

A. The K-16109-4A requires standard size holes in your sink for installation.

Do you have to have the spray, or can you substitute the soap dispenser for that hole?

A. Thank you for your question. The Kohler K-16109-4A is only sold with the sidespray. Most quality Kitchen faucets with a sidespray have either a positive pressure valve or a removable plug for the sidesprays supply connection. This allows for installation on a 3 hole sink, or to substitute a Soap Dispenser in it's place.

Does this particular faucet have the positive pressure valve or a removable plug to block the side spray (for installation in a sink with only three holes)?

A. The Kohler K-16109-4A doesn't come with the positive pressure valve or a block for the side spray. This faucet is installed with the side spray.

how do you get the handle apart to replace washers?

A. To replace the washer for the Kohler K-16109-4A you need loosen the handle under the faucet and then the handles will loosen where you can take the handle off the valve to replace the washer.

What is the height of the handles (tall)

A. The Kohler K-16109-4A handles are 3 3/4" tall.

If we do not the sidespray, can we just ask our plumber to leave it off? Also, we don't want to substitute the sidespray with a soap dispenser. Can we just use the faucet spout and handles?

A. For the Kohler K-16109-4A, you do not have to use the side spray. You would have to cap it off.
