Single Handle Pullout Kitchen Faucet from the Avatar Series
Beautiful design worked flawlessly first few years
Love the design and operation of this Avatar faucet, and it worked flawlessly for the first 5 years or so (its now about 9 years old), but once it started leaking, I've replaced the ceramic valve twice, and the vacuum breaker once, but nothing seems to get it back to its former leakless self. I'm running out of ideas on how to fix it, it seems so simple inside, yet it continues to leak. If you've figured out how to stop the leaking, I'd sure like to know.

not a good choice
This faucet has given us nothing but trouble. We literally have replaced every part of this faucet and it still leaks. Because we were not the original buyers of the faucet we are guaranteed nothing. I have spoken repeatedly to Kohler and have purchased so many replacement parts it is unbelievable. Currently I have to wrap a towel around the base as to not have a puddle on my granite counter tops. Many problems, still not resolved.

When we remodeled our kitchen we chose this faucet due to the styling and features. It was our belief that high price meant high quality. We had the chrome pull out handle replaced three times for cracks. We were finally sent a white plastic handle and told that the chrome was not available. The white handle also leaked and was replaced. The cap on the handle has broke twice and the unit continually leaks and has ruined the area under the sink twice. I really feel cheated by this $600+ piece of junk.

overrated overpriced and dissapointed
When we built our new house I ask for Kohler because of their name,(reputation). Big, Big mistake. We are retirement age, so our kitchen is still like new after 3 years. but today we bought a new delta faucet for 2/3's the price of this one and will never own another kohler anything. Like the other reviewers this faucet has leaked and been worked on from the first year. The first service call was under warranty. the next two we were told oops sorry too late.
So, Kohler, oops sorry too late. Goodby

Like one of the other reviewers, I have had nothing but trouble with this. Plumber's labor is not cheap, and the warrantee only covers parts. We've had it fixed twice, and it starts leaking again. Like the other reviewer, we have a towel wrapped around the bottom of our faucet to keep out counter dry. We now have to spend a bundle to get a new faucet before our cabinets start to rot. What a headache.

We love this faucet. The sprayer is easy to use and has an easy slide switch from spray to stream. With the handle under the spout, we don't have water behind the faucet from turning it off. Being left handed we didn't want a side handle. It is beautiful on our counter beside our new hot water dispenser.

Fine after 6.5 years
I love this faucet and have had no trouble with it. It is overpriced, which is why I would not buy it again (i'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought it the first time). The design is what I like - water adjuster is in the front which reduces water on the counter from adjusting with wet hands, and the pull out sprayer is great. The plastic button on the sprayer which makes it spray or stream broke, but Kohler sent new ones within a week, no problem.
