Cold Only Single Handle Basin Tap from the Wellspring Series 4.8 5 6 9

Wonderful faucet I purchased this faucet to hook up to a ClearSource under-the-sink water filter. I would have purchased the Wellspring kit from Kohler but the filters are pretty expensive ~ $80 for 6 months. The ClearSource filter is ~ $40 for 1 year. Purchased the SS version. It's heavy and of great quality. Installs in 15 minutes very easily into an existing hole. Highly recommend this product and FaucetDirect.com November 15, 2010

Best faucet..beautiful This purchase was to replace the Culligan cold water faucet.. The plumber did not know how to adapt the connection. No fault of the Kohler faucet. The local Hardware store owner walked me throught the process. The water pressure is great and it fits well in the third opening on my new sink. Great purchase! April 23, 2010

Excellent purchase Bought this faucet to replace the one being used with my under sink Culligan kitchen water filter system. The results have been absolutely great. I would recommend this product to anyone. February 16, 2010

great for water filter A much nicer faucet for our undersink water filter than the flimsy plastic&chrome piece that came with the filter. Needed an adapter to make the connection, but well worth it. December 20, 2009

Nice product This faucet is for my purified water in the kitchen sink. I like the white because it matches my white corian sink. The lever works great, much better than any spring mechanism. The height works well also. I'm very happy with it. March 12, 2009

Works well, but.... The Kohler K-6665 looks good and works perfectly, just as advertised. Why am I disappointed? I didn't pay enough attention to the dimensions. If the neck extended a couple of inches further out, we would have been able to set the glass, pitcher, or pot we are filling in the sink during filling. Instead, we must hold it directly under the tap the whole time. This is an annoyance and time waster, especially if a large amount of water is needed. It is possible to turn the neck around and set the vessel on the counter (if it is short enough to fit under the tap). This works fine, provided you stand there and watch it constantly. The water comes out absolutely silently, and it is very easy to overflow the vessel onto the counter and floor before you know it. We use this a lot because our city tap water is too foul to drink without RO filtration. Therefore, all our water for drinking and cooking comes out of this inconvenient tap. If someone makes a longer-reaching basin tap I would like to know about it. No problem with the service from Faucets Direct. November 30, 2008

WHY CAN'T I USE THIS PRODUCT WITH A OSMOSIS FILTER?

The Kohler K-6665, like most faucets, is designed to work with a water supply that is pressurized to somewhere in the neighborhood of 70psi. A reverse osmosis system puts out just a trickle compared to this and wouldn't produce enough flow to operate this tap.

Can the Kohler K-6665 be used with osmosis filters?

The Kohler K-6665 can't be used with an osmosis filter.

Can this faucet be used without filatration?

Kohler does not recommend installing the K-6665 without the filtration system. It is possible to do but could void the warranty if installed that way.

Does this faucet have a 3/8 inch stem?

The Kohler K-6665 does have a 3/8" O.D. supply tube and compression fitting.

is it possible to get the handle on the left side of the faucet instead of the right?

The Kohler K-6665 can be installed with the handle on either side. The cartridge will have the same orientation, however, but you can mount the handle wherever you need.

Canthis faucet be used with any other water filtration systems? I have heard it should not be used with a reverse osmosis system. What can I connect it to safely?

The Kohler K-6665 is recommend to be used with the K200 system.
