Bellwether Collection 60" Three Wall Alcove Bath Tub with Integral Apron and Left Hand Drain
LOOK AT THE FINISH BEFORE YOU BUY
At the first appearance the tub seems contemporary and modern. However the finish on the tub is GLOSSY BUT NOT SMOOTH. Which only accentuates the lumpy, bumpy finish. The best way to describe the finish is it looks like cellulite. I contacted the Kohler Representatives because I expected a smooth, clean and modern tub. They said the finish is indicative of cast iron tubs and the process in which the finish is applied by robots when the tub is removed red hot from it mold and the glass power is applied. So if you want a smooth, clean and modern tub this is NOT for you.

Beware of faucet spout reach!
We wanted a cast iron tub that looked nice and was well priced, so we ordered two. No disappointments there! Only thing is that given the design of the tub and how it has a > shape at the front & back end, we ended up with tub #1 having a spout that was too short. We had to order a new spout (after calls to Kohler), and for tub #2, which was going to be set up with a deck & roman faucet, we had to return the Grohe roman faucet we had orginally ordered, pay the restocking fee (the rep at FD was generous), and order a new Delta faucet that has a 10" spout reach. We are not sure as of yet whether that will work. Because the tubs were ordered in July, and our bathroom #2 is not yet complete, it is too late to return tub #2.

This tub, while nicely shaped, has edges that don't drain toward the tub but away from it. Also needed special drain which wasn't offered at the same time.

Nice looking tub with a couple caveats
We bought this tub because of the classic shape and simple lines. It was also a good price for cast iron. After installing the tub we realized a regular drain kit will not work due to the slant at the front of the tub. You have to buy the kohler adapter (10 bucks) or buy a special kohler drain (200 bucks). Also, most tub spouts have a 5.5" reach, which is inadequate to clear the overflow at the top of the tub. Most longer tub spouts are high-end, expensive and do not come with a built-in diverter. I searched for days to find a reasonably priced tub spout with a diverter that was 8-9" in length. I ended up settling on a 7.25" spout from Moen on FD, which will likely just barely clear the overflow drain. Great loooking tub, but be prepared to pick out the right trim kit and accessories. What a headache!

This little tub is a good steel option, if you don't want to spend too much and if you have size constraints. The way the back and front of the basin are angled makes it comfortable and it's just large enough to enjoy a nice soak. It's not excessively roomy though (the angled front and back take up some interior space), so if you're looking to really submerge, get something larger and deeper.
