The Kohler K-975 will accommodate a Flipside and is another method of mounting a handshower other than a slide bar, yes.
Can this be mounted to a pre-formed bath/shower tub and how is it mounted, i.e., screws or what?
The Kohler K-975 has a wall mounted bracket and can be mounted to any type of surface.
does this attachment allow different angles? It looks to swivel.

The Kohler K-975 projection is 3 1/2" and the diameter of the plate is 3-3.8". The hose holder measurements we do not have nor does Kohler. Thank you for your question.
Will this hold a conical house shower of another manufacturer?
The Kohler K-975 would work for another brand shower as long as the handshower hose you have is the same size but it is not tested for compatibility in this way.
