Groove 60" x 32" Shower Receptor, Left-Hand Drain
Will never buy Kohler again
I bought two of these shower pans in cashmire so I paid more and had to wait 6 weeks. I was feeling pretty good with my purchase thinking I didn't go for the cheapest pan and that at $400 bucks each for a piece of fiberglass should be great quality. As stated in previous reviews my pans are warped and there is no "flat" edge to level with. As I was installing I kept thinking how am I going to seal the glass with a 3/8 " gap ? Oh and the leveling pads state to shim them.....I'm sorry when has shimming been defined as 3/4" to 1 5/8 ". Honestly for this kind of money I expected a stout straight pan that I embed in mortar. Something is obviously wrong with the molds.

Bad Manufacturing by Kohler
I ordered this product for my master bath. I opted for the premade shower pan to save time over a built up pan but I was very very wrong. The first pan came in and was horribly warped. Front edge where shower door sits was 1/2" bowed in 4' while back edge was flat. Also leveling pads were no where close to being "level". Faucet Direct sent me a grand total of 3 different pans all with varying levels of warping. Also placement and height of leveling pads were wildly inconsistent. I'm not sure if Kohler has a bad form or isn't inspecting this product but this would NOT work for most applications and would require significant leveling/modification to even get flat. I ended up returning and asking for my money back.
I will say that Faucet Direct's customer service was stellar and got me replacement pan the next day. Not their fault that Kohler is having a problem. My confidence in Kohler products has greatly affected.

According to my plumber, the product came warped. Its not level. They did however figure out how to level it using a piece of wood. But really, they shouldn't have had to do that! But overall he said to give it a 3 star. I think he would have gone higher if it was level.

I've read two or three reviews stating that this product came in warped. Having not seen their units, I can't really comment. What I can say is that I've installed probably a dozen or so of this exact unit in rental homes that I own. I've never had a problem with the unit itself. On rehabs, renovations etc. Where settling (when on a slab) or warping of the home can cause problems. It can create the illusion that the unit is warped. Also, the units I believe come with a slight arch to them so that as you stand in them with heat from the water, they straighten out and conform to the floor. The worst problem I had was installing on slab. Getting the drain connected and fitting and trimming the wall. I happen to sheet rock the entire room - cut outs for the plumbing, then use a vapor barrier and install cement fiber board for the tile. Most people simply install cement fiber over studs.
Anyway, the point is that sometimes trimming this unit in place can take more time than simply building a mortar bed.
All and all not a bad product. Don't forget to put down a protective barrier over the unit while you do your tiling etc..

We were happy with it. It wasn't quite what we expected, but we were able to make it work. It was just difficult to see in the photo, because it was white on white. Maybe there's a better way to display a photo of these white items.
