Very good for the value
I feel this is a very good shower head. If you have hard water or no water softner in your home this is one of the reasons I choose this product. Cleans up well with C.L.R and the finish lasts along time.And Kolher stands behind there products and does carry replacement parts.

Shower Hardware Set
Like the look and function of this shower hardware set. Thought I might be able to use the old valve in the wall, but was surprised to learn that every manufacturer has their own valve. These Kohler valves are not available at Home depot or Lowes so buy the new valve from FaucetDirect when ordering the handle and shower head set. I had to get one from a plumber as I found out during installation and I'm sure I paid too much for it.

Faucet and Website, Completely Satisfied.
I am happy with my purchase. After remodeling our bathroom, I had to replace is with another Kohler faucet. I went into a local store to find a faucet that would work. This is the same faucet I would have had to order through the store and I received the faucet quicker and cheaper! I am completely happy with the performance of this shower head. It met any expectations I may have had.

Great Looking Set
I purchased this shower set because the house already had Kohler valves. The set is nice looking, but I prefer a more concentrated spray. It functions fine and the Oil Rubbed Bronze finish is holding up very well.

photo not accurate
The shower head that we received did not have the spray head on it; the water just gushed out of a hole. I contacted Faucet Direct and they gave me Kohler's toll-free number. Kohler was very cooperative and quickly shipped a new shower head. The new head still does not correspond to the picture, but does work much better.

Excellent Quality/Look
I am completing a bathroom remodel and this faucet was a very elegant addition to my bathroom. I ordered the sink faucets as well. Great quality and value. Items were received quickly. I have ordered multiple times from this site and have never had a problem.

What tub spout is compatible with K-T396-4? Would I need to order something else for tub and shower?
The Kohler K-T396-4 will work if used with any tub spout that has a built-in diverter, such as the K-10280-4. I hope this helps!
You mentioned you can increase water pressure by going to a piping size of 3/4". Will this Devonshire faucet and trim work with the valve K2971-KS Hiflow 3/4"?
The Kohler K-T396-4 is able to be used with the 3/4" valve. You would need to purchase valve number k-2971-ks.
Can I use the eco friendly low pressure shower head with the devonshire handles??
The Kohler K-T396-4 can be used with different shower heads. The fitting would need to be 1/2" NPT in order to thread it on.

The Devonshire handheld option that matches the Kohler K-T396-4 is the Kohler K-10825-4.

The Kohler K-T396-4 is a rite-temp pressure-balancing shower faucet trim. This trim and coresponding valve will control both volume and temperature. If you are looking for an actual volume control you could use the K-T10360-4.

The Kohler K-T396-4 has temperature indicators etched into the valve.

The Kohler K-T396-4 is compatible with water tiles. You ca use the K-8002, K-8003, K-8013 or K-8014. This will need transher valve K-728 to tell the water where to go.

Can the Kohler devonshire balancing shower/bath faucet trim with lever handle replace the equivalent trim on an American Standard single lever bath/shower faucet or do I have to replace the portion in the wall too.?
You can not use another manufactures trim on another manufactures valve. The fittings will not be the same. If you decide to go with the Kohler trim you will also need to purchase the Kohler valve and replace the existing rough in with the new one. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Does the rite-temp valve inhibit hot temperatures?
The Kohler K-T396-4 will need the K-304-K valve, that valve does have a temperature limit stop on it that will inhibit hot water.
