The Kohler K-T398-4 does not include a tub drain. The tub drain would usually be matched up with the tub itself, as you will need to know the height, and distances between the overflow and drain. This item could have a seperate hand shower added to it, but it does not have a model that pre-packages it so you would need to install a diverter a long with the handshower.

As long as your existing valve is model K-300-K, K-300-KR, or K-301-K it will be compatible.
The Kohler K-T397-4 is slightly shorter and is equipped with a diverter pull rod. The T398-4 does not have a diverter.
