33" Farmhouse Single Bowl 16 Gauge Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink
Love the look & size, hate the quality
This sink is absolutely gorgeous. It is HUGE with tons of work space. The downside is it scratches & marks too easy, being the hardest guaged steel you can buy in sinks. I have not had this sink even two years yet and there are dark markings/discoloring where the wire rack rests, a white mark which I am not sure where it came from and the surface/ledge is all scratched. If it is this beat up after 18 months, what will it look like in the next 20 years. I am disappointed in that since Kraus comes with such a high quality name.

I have purchased this Farmer sink and worried about my choice. I shouldn't have, because it turned out to be just right for me. I love the bigness of it and the depth. I can get any of my pots and pans to fit easily in it to clean. It is so easy to clean and I don't have to worry about chips, as you do with porcelain. It looks great in my new kitchen and gets a lot of ohs and ahhhs.

Great Sink lousy strainer basket
First, the sink itself and all Kraus sinks; as I have purchased and installed 7 so far are outstanding sinks for the cost, heavy gauge stst and almost exact trueness to specifications. However, and this is a major flaw preventing them from attaining 5 star rating is the combination stainless and plastic sink strainer basket. It is deeper than standard to allow for the built in strainer basket and this required them to cut some corners on the rest. Its pipe thread waste tail is plastic as is the retention ring than keeps it secure to sink, this will not allow for a tight seal or proper positioning especially after the user may eventually pour hot water through it. The plastic retention ring has its limits to bind up the assembly and is weakened every time you attempt to tighten. Same for threaded tail, every time a brass or plastic female adapter or nut is attached is loosens over time. My solution was to purchase an all brass brushed chrome or stainless steel strainer with no plastic parts. So far no further call backs. Call backs are costly and sometimes embarrassing, to say the least. I can't waste any time as time and money are a premium. Buy the sink throwaway the strainer and buy a solid brass or st st one, it will save you in the long run. I would pay more for the sink if they would supply a proper basket strainer without plastic parts, it was like buying a nice suit and instead of mother of pearl or brass buttons they went with plastic and you know what happens to them eventually they disintegrate.
Some one should talk to them...

This sink wows everyone who sees it. We combined it with the coiled industrial Kraus faucet and it is beautifully designed, functional (deep sink with design that allows water to flow from the corners to the drain), and the in-sink rack is fantastic.
We impressed our designer with this one.
