Sink Technologies / Benefits:
Extra Thick, 16 Gauge Stainless Steel: Short of paying thousands of dollars, 16 gauge is as thick as sinks come (22% thicker than 18 gauge; 36% thicker than 20 gauge). Thicker steel means a stronger sink (hence the lifetime warranty) while also offering a richer and more robust appearance to the finish that is easily discernible from the white-washed, cheap look of thinner sinks.
Premium Grade T-304 Stainless Steel: There are two primary types of stainless steel in the market: T-409 and the higher quality T-304. The difference lies in chromium and nickel contents; T-409 with 11% and .5% respectively, T-304 with 18% and 10%. When added to steel, these two metals prevent oxidation and rust by neutralizing sodium chloride (salt) – a common element in everyday kitchens. While cheaper sinks use T-409, Kraus sinks boast T-304, further lending to the lifetime warranty.
Sound Insulated: Sound insulated steel is commonly only thought of in the automobile industry. There, auto manufacturers use spray-on “Stone Guard” insulation to provide for a quieter ride and protect the steel. Borrowing this technology and adding to it, Kraus sinks use Stone Guard insulation, sprayed over rubber sound dampening pads to create a noticeably lower-tone and overall quieter kitchen sink. It also protects your cabinet from underside condensation drips.
Included Dish Grids (Basin Racks) and Basket Strainers (Drains): It’s a wonder why dish grids aren’t included with all sinks; they serve a valuable role. Not only do they virtually eliminate scratches, they allow the sink to properly drain, preventing sink scum and protecting your cutlery. As with most Kraus kitchen sinks, this sink includes the stainless steel sink grids along with the basket strainers you’ll need for installation.
Faucet Technologies / Benefits:
Precision Kerox Cartridges: The cartridge’s job is to deliver smooth handle operation and water flow, throughout hundreds of thousands of uses, without ever leaking – all while under a punishing 60 pounds-per-square-inch of pressure. For these reasons, it is quite literally what “makes or breaks” the faucet. Kraus understands this, so they take no shortcuts here, importing their cartridges from the world’s leading manufacturer of high-end precision ceramic disc cartridges, Kerox in Hungary.
Swiss-Made NeoPerl Aerators: Aerators are possibly the most under-appreciated component within faucets. Not only do they soften the stream (preventing splashing), but they also control the straightness, diameter, overall delivery of water. Fortunately, like their cartridges, Kraus recognizes this and chooses to takes no gambles here – they import their aerators from NeoPerl in Switzerland, the world’s leading manufacturer for high-end and specialty aerators.

Top of the lineI purchased a double sink and faucet kit and was delightfully surprised the faucet was heavy weight unlike anything I looked at in the local department store. The retracting hose top od the line, the spring was the strongest I had ever felt. The sink protectors were of high grade material and fit like they were custom made. Every thing about this facet and sink were top noch. Do not hesitate to buy.

Excellent QualityThe quality of this sink and faucet are great! This was my first attempt at installing an under-mount. Make sure to install the faucet first, due to the depth of this sink it was nearly impossible to get my big hands up behind the sink to install the nut on the faucet. Much cursing!
Other than that, to make installation easier, I put a 2 x 4 on top of the counter and drilled 2 holes in it where the drain baskets came through, I then put a 1/4" threaded rod (about 18" long) through the drain baskets (without the sink strainers) put about a 6" square of plywood on the bottom of the drain opening and put a nut and fender washer on each end and used this to tighten the sink into place. I then lowered it down 1" and smeared the rim with gorilla Glue two part epoxy and tightened it back into place. I let this dry overnight and then installed the brackets with regular screws (make sure you have about a 12" long screwdriver bit, as the room is pretty tight) I then took some more epoxy and smeared on the brackets before I tightened them up. Be sure to wear a pair of disposable gloves. So I never used the little mounts that were to be epoxied into the counter. Then I caulked around the inside lip of the sink. I would advise to make the opening a tad smaller (1/4") than the template so you don't have a reveal to contend with. Here is where I removed the threaded rods and installed the sink strainers. No plumbers putty was needed, just the little white foam O rings. So I was very pleased with this combo!!! With the Granicrete it looks GREAT!

Love and Hate the sinkThis sink is beautiful, however, it is not highly scratch and stain resistant. We had it installed by our contractor and we did not use it until the all the plumbing was redone. Unfortunately, the second time I ran the water in the sink washing a dish I noticed several large scratches in the bottom of one sink, they didn't show while the sink was dry but as soon as it gets wet they really show up. I don't know how or when the scratches happened but there had not been any hard activity in the sink while the installation was going on. The fact that it stated it was "highly scratch and stain resistant" was one of the top selling points. Really disappointed. Also, the faucet that comes with it is very tall and with the deep sink the water goes everywhere. Took some time to figure the best way to use it without soaking the kitchen.

Great ValueOverall great product, deep sink is nice and extra solid! all accesories are superb quality as well a great buy! I only gave 4 stars because I am having issue with spray selector, but am pretty sure it is due to my excessive water pressure in my house. I would definately recommend.

Industrial kitchen qualityInitial impressions were confirmed when we opened the box to show a future customer the quality of sink and faucets we use. The sink is HEAVY and looks great. The faucet is very long and combined with the sink makes for an almost industrial kitchen look without losing the eye appeal. The sink sells itself; we just ordered 2 more.

Awesome PriceEverywhere I looked, the price was almost double. Love the sink, after installation, the faucet leaked, Faucet Direct sent another cartridge immediately. The only problem I have with the faucet is it is very tall, just takes a little getting used to, if you are looking at this combination, you might want to look for a faucet not quite as tall as this is. With that said, I love the faucet and sink. Looks great and works great.
