Advantages of Stainless Steel over Enameled Cast Iron or Fireclay:

  • Very durable; will never chip or crack

  • Due to relative weights, stainless steel is generally much easier (and less expensive) to install
  • Nonporous; resists bacteria
  • Neutral color fits into almost any décor - matches stainless steel appliances

Product Technologies / Benefits:

  • Premium Grade T-304 Stainless Steel: There are two primary types of stainless steel in the market: T-409 and the higher quality T-304. The difference lies in chromium and nickel contents; T-409 with 11% and .5% respectively, T-304 with 18% and 10%. When added to steel, these two metals prevent oxidation and rust by neutralizing sodium chloride (salt) – a common element in everyday kitchens. While cheaper sinks use T-409, Kraus sinks boast T-304, further lending to the lifetime warranty.
  • Sound Insulated: Sound insulated steel is commonly only thought of in the automobile industry. There, auto manufacturers use spray-on “Stone Guard” insulation to provide for a quieter ride and protect the steel. Borrowing this technology and adding to it, Kraus sinks use Stone Guard insulation, sprayed over rubber sound dampening pads to create a noticeably lower-tone and overall quieter kitchen sink. It also protects your cabinet from underside condensation drips.
  • Heavily Certified: Kraus has gone to great lengths to be able to provide you, the homeowner, the rest-easy satisfaction knowing that your sink is certified and listed by all the major product testing boards in the U.S. and Canada. This means that this sink is deemed safe to use and that it meets all applicable building codes. Certifications and listings include: UPC, cUPC, CSA, IAPMO, ANSI and SCC.

Kraus KTM25 Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sink at a Great Price This sink is the perfect addition to my new kitchen. It comes packaged very well in a thick double wall box wrapped up in a black bag.The sink its self is very thick and rigid and has a good cote of rubberized coating on it. the install is very straight forward using the included template. My only concern was the lip that sits on the counter top - unlike the other reviewer it is completely flat for me , you just have to tighten it evenly all the way around. My concern was the amount that sits on the counter, there is only 1/4-1/8" of lip , so be sure your cut is almost perfect. attached is a pic of the finished sink with a American Standard faucet. The single bowl is great when you have a dishwasher and want something big enough to wash and fill large pots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Kraus KTM 25 Sink Drop In 18 Gauge Sink I don't know if there is a design flaw with this sink, but my installer said it's one of the worst made sinks that he has seen in 30 years. I put in a new countertop, which is flat, but the when the sink was inserted in the opening it didn't lie flat at the edges. It was noticeable that either when it was constructed (stamped at the factory) or in the design that the edge is not the same along the right side. Plus, the clips are not strong enough to hold the sink down to the countertop. After several hours of trying, he finally got it installed the best that he could. Because I was installing a new countertop and couldn't be without a sink (my old one was bigger than this, 40 yrs old, and shot), and there were no local stores that carried one that would fit my base, so I couldn't wait to send it back, get another one, and hope that it was made better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking and sturdy This sink was a good value. Very sturdy compared to what is available for the same price at the big box stores. Didn't give it 5 stars because the clips are a bit tricky to put it, making the install a little more difficult than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Sink installed very easily in location of our old plastic sink. Looks great and it's sound proofing seems to work fine. You may have to pinch the install tracks so the clamps don't pull out when tightened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Sink The sink was exactly what we were looking for; the right size, great quality, and it came so well packaged that even UPS couldn't destroy it! We are remodeling 8 apts and plan to buy 7 more of these sinks because of the quality and we are sure we will receive them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pick the guys that were doing my kitchen redo were very impressed with the quality of the sink and how it was packaged. The plumber even asked me where I purchased it and the cost .He told me that I had a very good sink for the money. They had no problem with the install as far as I could tell and it looks great in my new kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kraus sink Very easy to install. It is very quiet, Ordered, received and installed in a week. Well packaged and received with no shipping damage. So easy to install following the directions included. Great size for a condo or apartment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent sink The sink was delivered on time. packaged well. The only problem I have is that the lip that sets on the countertop was not perfectly flat. there were small gaps in places. I was having a tendency to overtighten the mounting clips to eliminate these gaps. One clip stripped out. It is helpful if you have another person watching from above. Other than that one issue it is a good sink. At least for my garage.
