Saved money. I live in Canada and by ordering from HandleSets I paid about 1/2 of what I would have paid in a big box hardware store at home. I was happy to be able to get the brass/chrome privacy knob set. However, where it takes no screws... it doesn't get tight enough to the door. So it is very loose. and with screws you are able to tighten. I am on the search for a brass/chrome knob set with screws to tighten. January 8, 2010

Oh Handle.. How I love thee.. This is as easy as insallation gets. Comes with all the hardware you need for any type of install. Gives a very cool effect of having the sanitary looking chrome on one side, yet having the fine more sosphicated look of a dark bronze on the other. does this come with the square plate for the latch on the door I cannot find door knobs anywhere with the square plate

The Kwikset 730H uses standard square corner faceplates for the latch cover.

Which deadbolt goes with this knob?

The Kwikset 980S is the deadbolt that goes with the Kwikset 730H.

How do I remove the knob?

The Kwikset 730H can have its knob removed by inserting a flat object, such as a screw driver, behind the rosette and applying pressure. The knob should come away from the door about 2-3 cm, then you will need to look for an arrow on the newly exposed area. Once you have located this arrow apply pressure toward the inside of the knob and it should come free.
