stunning
We have four french door sets that we put this hardware on. Our painter installed them no problem. We bought the antique nickel finish and love them! The color is very unique and the style is a good mix of modern and classic. We are very happy with them.

Good product
This is actually better than I expected. The photo looks flimsy, but it is not. It's good weight and the finish is beautiful. And the price is unbeatable.

can't quite figure it out
On-line it says that this can be left or right handed. But, there is not way to do that because of the lock mechanism needing to be on the inside of the room. If handle were swapped, it would lock on the hall side. So some of these handles swoop the wrong way. Guess only I will know it. But a little frustrating when you spend over $600 to redo the hardware throughout a home.

Very pretty, super easy to install
I put these Kwikset handles throughout my home to replace some Schlage handles that had all the bronze worn off them in only two years. These Kwikset units are very easy to install, are reversible so they work on any door, and are really attractive. I'm very pleased with them.

Good quality
I really like our new door handles. One thing I noticed while shopping for handles was that some did not open unless you turned the lever completely, which was annoying. These open and close with ease and you don't have to turn the lever to an uncomfortable position.

How far does it extend from the door to the end of handle?
The Kwikset 730TNL has a projection of 1-7/8", (1.875 inches)
Will this door unlock from the interior by simply pulling the lever (i.e. for a kids room)?
The Kwikset 730TNL is a privacy set that locks & unlocks via turn button on the inside lever locked or emergency key on the outside.
Does this have a handle for each side of the door so it can be opened from either side?
Yes, the Kwikset 730TNL does come with handles for both sides of the door. This is a privacy leverset so the interior side will have a turn button to lock the leverset and the exterior side will have a small pin hole that functions as an emergency release. Please see the images in the Product Multimedia above these questions and below the "Add to Cart" button to view images from the exterior side and the interior side.
Can I replace one side with a round knob to keep cat from trying to open door?
Unfortunately, you can't put a round knob on this, but you could purchase a privacy knob and replace the entire thing. It sounds like you have a pretty smart cat.
How is this lever reversible? Is there a way to reverse the lever so that you can have the lock on the right side on the door? Also, does it come with both a round and a square corner strike plate?
The Kwikset 730TNL is IN FACT a reversible lever set. The levers can come off the rosettes and latch to be switched according to what handing you need. This will keep the swoop in the direction you need. It seems that particular customer in the review may not have accomplished this, but I myself have switched the handing successfully. The package will also come with an installation sheet that will describe how to reverse the handing. There is also an installation sheet on the product page (pdf file) and step 3 describes how to swap the handing properly. The lever will also come with both the round and square strike plates.
I have 2 left hand doors. When reversing handle, can't have curved side of handle up. Are reversed handles available?
The Kwikset 730TNL is a reversible lever set that can be used for both left and right handed doors. The curve will remain as pictured for left handing doors provided you follow the instructions in the provided installation guide.

Door open, button pushed, does it unlock upon shutting?
If you lock the item and shut the door, the door will be locked.
How do you remove handle and set to use on a new door
The Kwikset 730TNL removes by taking off the lever with an Allen wrench, then taking off the rose, then unscrew the handle and latch. Reverse the process to install. The installation instructions are on the website.
