Ashfield We like the handleset but it is not the right color. I think the color we ordered was Venetian Bronze and we received a black handleset. Other than that, we like it. April 20, 2011

Completes the beautiful entry. The handlesets arrived sooner than stated, they were installed immediately, and it finished the look of our front entry. These handles and locks are of the finest quality, very sturdy and I'm sure will last a long time. November 26, 2010

This handleset is beautiful! We had a problem with our old door-the two holes for the handle and the lock where only 5 inches apart and we didn't want to get a new door, so I called Handleset and they were very helpful in telling me that this particular choice would work with a 5 inch spread. Does the interior side of the Ashfield deadbolt have the same backplate shape as the exterior backplate or is it just the 980 standard round shape?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S has a typical, round trim on the knob and lever interiors.

I am trying to match color of Seagull outdoor lamps of a"weathered copper finish over solid brass". I am guessing to choose rustic bronze or venetian bronze. I want a colonial looking handleset. Can you help?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S is a great choice for a colonial styled handle set. I think the rustic bronze matches the weathered copper of the lighting fixture better than the venetian bronze. BUT! When choosing finishes from different manufacturers you are never going to get an exact or sometimes even approximate matches.

What is the distance between the center of the latch hole (not the deadbolt hole) and the hole for the mounting screw near the bottom of the handle.

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S is 8-13/32” from the center of the latch hole to the center of the bottom mounting screw.

Can I order the interior deadbolt in a different finish than the handleset? Also, is there a more ornate knob that will work for the interior?

You can order the interior in a different finish, when you add the front door set to your cart the next page will prompt you to select an interior pack which include the knob or lever you select and the inside portion of the deadbolt and you can choose the finishes available.

Does the interior side of the Ashfield DEADBOLT have the same squared backplate shape as the exterior backplate or is it a round backplate?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S comes with a round backplate on the inside.

I see the option to add the handle to my cart after adding the exterior, but I would think it would require a both a latch and a lever so you can lock it from the inside. However it only shows the single knob.

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S interior pack comes with the lever (or knob) and inside of the deadbolt.

I purchased the Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S, what lever type handle can I use on the other side of the door?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S has multiple options for an interior pack. They are displyed on the "Product Configuration" page on the following page after selecting a finish and clicking "Add to Cart." This will not add the actual exterior to your cart at that time, but will display the individual interior packs available for purchase.

Which round interior single cylinder knob would go with this handleset? Does the interior deadbolt mechanism need to be purchased separately too?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S is ordered with whichever interior pack you select. This combination does include the interior deadbolt as well as the internal hardware. As far as which interior knob would be best that is personal reference. My opinion is that either the 966H, 966L or the 966CA because the rosette has that raised edge similar to the handleset.

Will this handleset work on a 2 1/4" thick door? Is there an extension kit available?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S can work with a 2-1/4" thick door with the purchase of 3 extra items. You will need to order 81781, 81248 and the 81838.

Would the Ashfield work with 4 3/4 inch centers?

The Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S is meant for use with 5.5 inch centers.

My door is 1 5/8 inches....will this handle set work on this door?

This product will only work on a door that is 1 3/4" thick.

Does the Kwickset Ashfield #800-LPS-S set include the inside portion of the lock or is that a seperate item as is the inside knob?

Kwikset 800ADH-LIP-S is just the exterior portion of a handleset. You will need to get a coordinating interior pack to complete the set. Once you add the item to your cart on our site, it will prompt you to pick an interior pack.
