A local key shop told me that these can only be rekeyed 4 times. Is that accurate?

Great concept!
Bought these deadbolts for several rentals that I have. It has a master key port that is hidden and so you have access to the rental if necessary.
The only thing I haven't figured out is if I could re-key the master on various different deadbolts to the same master key or if I have to get a locksmith to do it. When I purchased these they keyed them to a single master before it was sent to me.
Service was great and the customer service rep was great. Would definitely purchase from them again!

Kiss my keys goodbye
I cannot wait to get all of these landlord locks into all of my rental units. I have installed a few (very simple) and set up one with new keys. This unit had two doors so I just put the landlord lock on one door and keyed it for the same key from the existing door. Now my tenant only needs one key for both doors and I only need one key as well. Thank goodness. Once I have them all installed (11 of them) I still will only need one key to enter any of my units. I will throw out about 50 keys in the process.

I am replacing my deadbolts how do I order them without being keyed? Or how do I go about getting you to key them with my exsisting key?
The lock will be keyed no matter what. To have it keyed to your existing key you have two options: 1) Have the lock re-keyed by a locksmith, after the purchase or 2) Have a locksmith determine the key-code of your existing key, and provide that code at the time of your purchase. I'm looking for 5 locks, can they be all keyed the same?

Do these locks have to be locked with a key from the inside, or do they have a knob or lever for locking?
The Kwikset 816 is operated from the inside with a thumb turn.
Do you have a model with the key working on the inside and outside with the same master key feature? What about spare keys, in the event one of three is lost, do I order those separately or are there blanks etc - How does this work ? Thanks
The Kwikset 816 is only available in a single cylinder model.
