Thick Door Kit
Parts and Installation
which thick door kit works for kwikset electronic leverset 911tnl
A. The Kwikset 81706 is necessary to install on doors 1-7/8" to 2-1/4" thick.
Is this for drilling a larger hole for the doorknob?
A. The Kwikset 81706 is longer hardware for thick doors and not for a bigger boar hole.
do the screws show after the lever is installed, is the finish important
A. The Kwikset 81706 will show once installed. You will see the heads of the screws.
will this work on 740h and 740j and is there a differance between those locks
A. The Kwikset 81706 will not work for the Hancock or Juno knobs. You would need the 81714 2-1/4" Thick Door Kit. The main difference between the Hancock and Juno Knobs is the rosette that mounts against the door. It slightly varies with different curvature. The Kwikset 81706 Thick Door Kit is for the following Kwikset Series: CN (Cameron), C (Copa), LL (Lido), TNL (Tustin), P (Polo), T (Tylo), V (Valiant), DL (Delta), DNL (Dorian), BRL (Brooklane), and PML (Pembroke).
Can you suggest a solution to needing a longer (further out from the door) lever handle, now that you have confirmed this particular part will not work?
A. What part were you looking at previously. Unfortunately, our system does not link emails.
Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.
To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.
Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
