Looks good
Looks good and is much better quality than what I had. The installer said it would be hard to break into the door.

Good but overpriced.
I needed a deadbolt that was actually black (as opposed to oil rubbed bronze), so this was about my only choice. The smartkey feature is pretty cool and easy to use, although I didn't really need it. The key it came with was a little hard to turn in the lock, but I set the lock to use another key and it works better. I needed longer screws and spindle for my thicker door, which arrived a couple of days after I called the number in the instructions. I'm pretty happy with it so far, but I wish it were half the price.

High quality product
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It was easy to install and it looks great.
I would definitely recommend getting your locks from Handlesets.com as well. We replaced 9 locks and all of them were keyed the same and we received 7 keys so we have plenty of extras. The best part was I ordered the locks on a Monday, used their free shipping on orders over $199 and the locks arrived on Wednesday.

Kwikset Smartkey deadbolt
I really love the Kwikset product, specifically their 'smartkey' line. I always used to buy Schlage but a Home Depot rep recomended the Kwikset one time and I couldn't have been happier. The wide selection of the finishes is what sold me but the Smartkey technology and more specifically the quality of the products and the smooth action of the locks and handles had kept me coming back. We just bought a new how and immediately replaced all 32 locks and handles with the Kwikset.
Also, Handlesets.com not only had the best price of anyone on the internet or local, but they items arrived at our door within days. Handlesets.com will definitely be the first recommend (and have already do so) to friends and family.

Drilling Problems

Very Easy
My house is 6 years old and the builder put in Iron Black hardware which I Love. The problem is that the deadbolts are not very good and one of them fell apart and broke. I found handlesets and they had something very close to the loook of my hardware. The shippment was on time and fit perfectly.
Since the one worked I will replace all my deadbolts in the house cause their just that much better. Top materials and very good help. Awesome!

Is there a latch that you can turn on the inside of the deadbolt. There were no pictures of the interior side.
Yes, the Kwikset 980S-S has a thumbturn latch on the interior to operate the deadbolt.
how many keys per kwikset do you provide?
Each key code that is sent is shipped with 2 keys. If all of your keyed sets are keyed alike then you will only receive 2 keys for all of them. If you key them differently then you will receive 2 keys per keyed item ordered.
