How the autocirc Instant Hot Water System Works :
The autocirc pump is installed under the sink or faucet farthest from the water heater - where hot water usually takes the longest amount of time to arrive.
A built-in temperature sensor automatically turns the autocirc pump on when the water temperature in the hot water supply line cools down to 85º F. This cool water in the hot water supply line is then pumped into the cold water line and back into the water heater.
The autocirc pump turns off automatically when the hot water supply line to the faucet reaches a temperature of 95º F, ensuring the instant availability of shower warm water with maximum temperature hot water only seconds behind. When the pump is automatically turned off by the built-in thermostat, an auto closure device prevents hot or cold water from mixing in either supply line.
Another beneficial feature is that hot water will also be instantly available at all other faucets in the supply line between the water heater and the faucet where the autocirc pump is installed.

Laing recirc. hot water pumpThe product installed easily. Make sure that you purchase separately two braided steel water lines to go from the pump to the hot and cold connections at the faucet. These lines should be long enough to have a loop between the pump and faucet. Having plenty of play in the lines is important. Setting the timer involves pulling out little tabs (each represents a half-hour increment) and the 12 o'clock position on the dial is straight up as it is on a clock (not at the 3 o'clock position as implied in the instructions).

easy installation and setupTook about 1/2 hr to install, minus the time for trip to hardware store for replacement of existing flex lines. Had unit for 2 months and find it much more efficient than an tankless water heater system. Couldn't be more pleased.

Instant hot waterA little expensive but it's worth. Just follow the installation instruction and you are going to have an instant hot water in your faucet. I will recommend this product to everybody especially to those two story houses owners. If my pump will last for about 5 years, I will be more than happy.

A great additionThe pump was easy to install, but not cheap. It produces hot water fast and in time I feel it will pay for itself in saved water. Here in Arlington, VA water is relatively expensive. Basically, I wanted the convenience of fast hot water.
