Hubby can sleep now, while I read
Provides bright (!!), pinpointed light, perfect for reading in bed. Warning: make sure you use the little bar to move the light head, for the latter gets VERY hot.

works great attached to my headboard for reading in bed. Not the most beautiful light ever, but I knew that before purchasing.

Great lamp for my purpose
I bought this light to clamp onto our bed so my husband would have a reading light. It is perfect and not too bright as to disturb me if I am asleep. The neck was longer than clamp lights I saw in the store. Overall I am happy with this purchase.

Great Reading Lamp
I purchased the silver version of this lamp. It's really beautiful. We have an antigue metal headboard and I was afraid that either the clamp would not attach securely to the round posts and/or that it would scratch, but neither fear materialized. It attaches very securely and the clamp is so nicely padded that it can't scratch. It provides the right amount of light needed to read in an otherwise dark room. My ultra picky husband didn't mind it at all, which is the best testimonial anything can get!

Nice Reading Lamp
Purchased two as temporary bedroom reading lamps and I'm satisfied with the amount of light and ease of use. They are stylish in spite of being clamp on. Oldest son now wants one for college. Only fault I found was the cord could be longer.

Eureka!
It was hard to find the right lamp for my job. I needed a reading lamp that would clamp sideways on a bookshelf next to the bed, with a long enough gooseneck to turn and angle it down, where it would cast a pool of light on just one side of the bed. There were so few choices that met the criteria, and some of those were danged expensive. This lamp sheds a cheery colorful glow that lets my husband read while I doze. Looks nice too.
