Best Lock Upgarade
I bought this door lock to replace an expensive $500 crypto lock which failed and this product is far superior in every way. I even bought one for home.

Smart timely purchase
Was considering a keypad lock for several years due to the expense of rekeying the lock after staff changes. This lock was the answer for us. The install is straight forward and well within the capabilities of this handyman. It is already proving to be a good call as we are once again losing our receptionist due to her husband being transfered. My one disappointment in the function would be the way the key mechanism works. It doesn't unlock in the way a typical lock does, but rather tightens down on a slip mechanism that then engages the handle which normally swings freely, makes sense it has to work this way though.

Does it work without the batteries too?
The LockState LS-6600 has to operate on 4 AA batteries
How easy is it to change the batteries?
The batteries on the LockState LS-6600 can be easily changed by simply unscrewing a ring at the base of the handle to expose the battery compartment.
How many digits are the codes used to unlock this lock?
The LockState LS-6600 uses a 6 digit access code.
Is this the appropriate keypad lock to use on an outdoor apartment complex entry gate?
The LockState LS-6600 would work perfectly in that application.
What's the process to change the combination?
If you would like to change the master code setting on LS-6600 you enter [## + master pass code being changed + *** + new code + new code again]. Just a reminder all of the codes are 6 digits long and the default master pass code is 111111 if this is your first time setting the master pass code. With this lock you are able to set up an additional 199 pass codes. If you would like to add one of the additional codes enter [## + master code + #** + 3 digit user index number + user code + user code again]. The user index number is from 001-199. Try to keep track of new users index so you can go in and delete or change later if need be.
Can the lock be used with only four digits?
Unfortunately, the LockState LS-6600 requires a the use of 6 digit codes.
How many codes can be entered?
The LockState LS-6600 can save up to 200 codes, which includes master access code and up to 199 sets of user access codes.
What cylinder is used & what keyway?
The LockState LS-6600 uses a 5 pin KW1 key way.
