Traditional / Classic 84" Anchor Pole with Photo Cell
Maxim MX 1092/PHC11 (Accessories): Post Lighting A
I do like the style and ease of assembly of this post/base.
I do however downgrade it because of the flimsiness of the mating system of the base and post. They assemble by virtue of a half dozen set screws at the joint. Conceptually this is good as it allows the post to be tightened while keeping it centered and level. However since the material is relatively soft aluminum two of my set screws stripped out when tightening enough to keep the pole from wobbling. So I had to replace them with larger size bolts. I am concerned that in time, the pole will wobble and that I may have to permanently 'solder' the 2 pieces. A good solution if I do not have to disassemble in the future...but not something I should have to worry about when purchasing a new item. Assembly needs more strength.

I do like the appearance of light post. The solar cell works great. However, the mechanical and welded joints are very weak and need addiitonal support. 2/3 posts that i purchased needed to be reinforced. Would not purchase this post if you are not handy or prepared to deal with fixing joints yourself as noted above and in the other review posted by mrb1913.
