The CounterMax MX-LD Series LED discs mount easily under any cabinet and can link up to 30 discs without additional hardware using MXInterLink2. The energy efficient LED disc uses only 1.7 watts and stays cool to the touch making it safer than both halogen and xenon. The warm white color lasts long and compliments any room.

Great Product I replaced halogen under cabinet lights with this product. It was easy to install and gives terrific light while staying cool to the touch. I wouldn't use anything else under cabinets. April 21, 2011

Does each 87881 require a 87803?

If you want to link two or more of the Maxim 87881 you must use 87803 to link them you can link up to 30.

I plan to order 6 of these lights for under our new cabinets and plan to wire directly to a wall switch. Based on what I have read, it appears I will also need one 87803. Will I need anything else to complete this?

I suggest you order two (2) of the Maxim 87888, which comes with 3 lights. The 87803 will control all 6 lights. You will also need connector cords that come in 9 inch cord, Part No. 87818.

Will this work with a dimmer switch?

The Maxim 87881 could not work on a dimmer switch.

How do you install the 87881BK? Is it to be hard wired or just plugged in to an outlet?

The Maxim 87881 is to be hardwired but you will need to order the 87803 which is the power supply.

Waht is the input voltage of one light puck ? 12VAC ?

The Maxim 87881 is 120VAC.

Can you put these on a dimmer?

The Maxim 87881 cannot be used with a dimmer.

On one side of my kitchen I want to install five 87881s in series, 18" apart, controlled by a single hard-wired wall switch. What else do I need to order from Maxim besides five 87881s? On the other side of my kitchen I want to install two 87881s, about 48" apart, one on each side of the stove. I want them connected in serial to a single hard-wired wall switch. What else do I need to order besides two more 87881s?

Thank you for your question! For each of the series you will need the direct wire box 87803, and either the 9" interlink cord 87818 or the 18" interlink cord 87819.
