Is there a steel post with a ladder rest that can be used with the Maxim 1005?
Yes, try the 1094/PHC11
Where can i purchase the post for model #MX 1005?
The Maxim MX 1005 is compatible with the Maxim MX 1093/PHC11, and we offer that on our site.
Are there any other steel posts besides the Maxim 1091 that can be used with the Maxim 1005?
Yes, it fits any standard 3" diameter post. Try the 1095 or 1092/PHC11.
Is this post light powder coated?
The Maxim MX 1005 fixture is powder coated. Please let me know if you have anymore questions.
What is the function of that cross member above the bulb? Thanks.
The Maxim MX 1005 doesn't have a cross member, it's just the way the light photographed there appears to be one but there's not. I hope this helps. Please contact me directly with additional questions or to place an order.
Can you set these on brick pillars and how long does the light last? Thanks!
Thank you for your question. Yes the Maxim MX 1005 can be mounted onto brick pillars; however, the pier mount would be required to do so. And in regards to your other question, it requires one 100w medium base bulb, so I would check the longevity of the bulb with which ever one you chose. Thank you and have a wonderful day!!!

The Maxim MX 1005 - Yes, this collection has a wall mount sconce(mx 1000 or mx 1002), ceiling mount(MC 1027) and a pendant(mx 1009).
Do you have outdoor lanterns that fit a 4 inch wide post?
The Maxim MX 1005 uses a 3" diameter. They dont make any that use a 4".
Is the bottom around the glass open to let bugs in?
The Maxim MX 1005 bottom is not enclosed.
