Great Buy
Just bought and installed Maxim MX 10121 (Indoor Lighting): Pendants Bowl in my eat in kitchen. It helped transform my kitchen, it now looks like a show kitchen

Great match with other fixtures
Bought 3 from this series and they match up very well. The boxes were all beat up but we didn't find any damage until we mounted this one. The glass bowl has a crack and we will be asking for a new one.

fit right in
Gave this fixture as an anniversary gift to my daughter and her husband after they had redone their kitchen. The old shiny brass fixture looked wrong. This fixture fit right in and matched the cabinets, hardware, and new quartz counter tops. It was very easy to install.

Yes. The Maxim MX 10121 will take energy saving bulbs.
Does this have a cover/canopy so bulbs are not viewed from above on stairwell?
The Maxim MX 10121 does have a canopy that mounts to the ceiling, but it doesn't come with a cover, so you do not see the bulbs from above.
