Awesome - throw plenty of light My wife and I love these fixtures. We have a home theater/family room that had some old fixtures with 4 bulbs which needed to be replaced. We wanted something we could dim, but was really bright since the room is dual use. These fixtures throw a lot of light and they're unobtrusive as well. UPS apparently tried to use one of the boxes as a soccer ball and the glass was destroyed. LightingDirect took care of the issue and sent out a replacement which came with no problems. Great find! We were remodeling our family room and needed new ceiling lights. We have a cathedral/vaulted ceiling and we needed lights to fit close to the ceiling. My husband had made the 1st set we had 24 years ago, so we had a hard time finding anything to "fit the bill". We needed large lights(20 inches).Then we saw an advertisement for Lighting Direct. We checked it out online and found exactly what we needed. We are very satisfied! We got 4 lights(it is a large room) and they look great!! September 20, 2010

Can I use this fixture in a bathroom?

Thank you for your question. The Maxim MX 11060 is not recommended for use in a bathroom. The product is UL listed for a dry location and therefore should not be installed in environments with a lot of moisture.

What is the diameter of the ceiling canopy?

The Maxim MX 11060 is flushmount with a diameter of 20." There is no canopy.

How do you change the light bulbs? Is it easy?

The Maxim MX 11060 has an arm holder that can move which allows you to take out the glass to change the bulbs.

I'm looking for a flushmount fixture to hang over a 48" x 66" granite counter heighth table. It will be visually in front of a stainless steel vent hood so we didn't want something hanging down. Will this fixture be a good fit for this use?

The Maxim MX 11060 this item will work but it is up to your desire.

Can you purchase replacement glass for this fixture?

The Maxim MX 11060 replacement glass is product gls11060mr. This is for the marble glass shade.

I am having a hard time telling the difference between the marble and Wilshire glass. Is the Wilshire more ivory or even darker like a taupe?

Based on the pictures off of Maxim's website, the Wilshire glass does not have swirls in the glass as the Marble does, the Wilshire has a grainier look.

Please provide the dimensions.

Is there a smaller version of this fixture?

Unfortunately, Maxim does not offer a smaller version of the MX 11060.

Is there enough room to install 4 CFL bulbs?

The Maxim MX 11060 has enough room for 4 Spiral CFL bulbs.
