would this light fixture work well in a foyer or entry way with ceilings 9 to 10 feet tall

A. The Maxim MX 11245 is 32"X32" with 6' of adjustable chain height making it diverse and very usable in that situation.

Would I be able to use light bulbs of lower wattage or energy efficient bulbs in this chandelier?

A. The Maxim MX 11245 uses standard 100 watt light bulbs. You can use bulbs 100w or less. You can also use cfl bulbs with standard bases.
