What is the difference between this sconce and the MX 20582?

The Maxim MX 20583 is 16" in width, 7" in height and 7" in extension. The Maxim MX 20582 is 13" in width, 6" in height and 6" in extension.

I am currently remodeling a basement and will be putting in the wall boxes for the wall lighing. Do these sconces mount better to rectangle wall boxes or round ceiling light boxes?

Per Maxim you can use either type of wall box.
