What are the measurements where it hooks on?

MX 5884 height is 4.5" and width is 7.5", and it hooks on the side.

Is this light suitable for outdoor porch ceiling lighting?

The Maxim MX 5884 is not UL listed for damp locations. It would not be suitable for a porch setting.

The globe has a very blue tint in the picture. what color is the globe, really?

Thank you for your question. The Maxim MX 5884 includes a frosted marble glass shade. The shade is white.

Is there any reason this wouldn't work in a bathroom?

The Maxim MX 5884 is not damp rated so if you have a smaller bathroom steam build up may have adverse effects on the fixture.
