Good Deal
I ordered 2 identical outside lights. Received when promised with no damage. Installed easily. I like the light sensors which are built in. Works as advertised.

traditional, energy saving, bright
These lamps go very well on our 1912 house. The compact flourescent bulb is bright, but uses little energy. The solar cell control turns off the light during the daytime saving even more energy.

Just what we wanted!
This light was just what we were looking for in an outdoor light. We need one for the bulb and covering to go downwards instead of upwards.
It was perfect....and the right price!

Maxim MX 85926 Energy Star Wall Sconces
Purchased (2) White ones for my Mother-in-Law's home. Arrived within 5 days of shipping notification from warehouse in original packaging. Packaging was okay, and the product installed very easily. Bulbs that came with it were only 13 watts (CFL) which is the equivalent of a 60 watt incandescant bulb. Installation completed within 30 minutes from start to finish. Not a bad product at all. The Photocell was the key factor in this purchase since the Mother-In-Law is always forgetting to turn on or off her outside lights!!
Needed more information on replacement Compact Flouresant Lamps (CFL) from the Manufacturer. They referred me back to LightingDirect vendor for information. They stated I needed to contact the manufacturer Maxim. So I did with little success.
After running around between the two of them several times, and very long hold times on the phone, finally a gentlemen in the manufacturers engineering department stated that the replacement CFL bulbs could be purchased through any Home Depot or Lowes outlets. I am still looking for the exact replacement bulbs as of this writing.
I also needed to know what the maximum CFL wattage rating is for these fixtures. The paperwork in the box only gives installation information. Online I could only find what CFL bulb came with it, (13 watts CFL) not what exact type/model, or maximum wattage it supports.
I would like to try a 26 watt CFL rated bulb (equivalent to a 100 watt incandescant), but am reluctant since I have no technical specifications to support my inquiries. Also, LightingDirect does not sell replacement CFL bulbs for these fixtures. And Maxim the manufacturer will not sell CFL bulbs direct to me, but only to its vendor outlets such as LightingDirect.
Overall, good product for the money. Wished they would have they sold them in pairs for a discount price instead of priced per unit, and also wish they would state the maximum wattage the fixture can support on their web-site with an exact CFL bulb type and model..

Ask it here I'm building a home & need exterior lighting that is energy efficient, motion controlled, or light sensitive. Does this light meet that standard?Does the Maxim 85926 take a 13w CFL plug-in or screw-in?Is the bulb replaced via an open bottom to this fixture or do you have to remove something to replace it?is this acrylic or cast aluminum? Product details lists one, technical specs the other. Is this style lighting only by photocell; does it have an on/off switch? Does it need to be plugged in and how does it afix to wall?If I install 2 of these & they are both turned on by the same light switch, will the photosensors cause them to blink on & off?A. Thank you for your question! Unfortunately these are not set up to be wired into the same switch. If they were put on the same switch they would blink on and off. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact me directly! Is there any sensitivity adjustment on the light?Traditional / Classic 1 Light Outdoor Wall Sconce from the Westlake DC Collection $31.32 Traditional / Classic 1 Light Outdoor Wall Sconce from the Builder Cast Collection $34.92 Technical Specs
